Having grown up in the family’s business,

Rajan Bhansali developed a deep understanding of craftsmanship, production, operations, and the importance of building lasting relationships with clients. His calm approach, problem-solving mindset, and ability to bring structure to every process form the strong foundation on which Sunra is built.

Chelsi Bhansali began her own journey in fashion through styling and design, building a brand of her own while helping clients discover confidence through clothing. As a fashion stylist, she realised that great design goes beyond creating beautiful garments—it is about telling stories, expressing individuality, and making people feel like the best version of themselves.

Together, they brought their individual journeys into one shared vision. Rajan leads the business, production, and operations, while Chelsi shapes the creative direction, design, and styling experience. As siblings, best friends, and partners, they complement each other effortlessly—balancing creativity with precision, vision with execution, and passion with purpose.

For Chelsi, fashion has never been just about clothing—it has always been a language.

Growing up surrounded by textiles, craftsmanship, and the world of fashion, she naturally found herself drawn to design from an early age. What began as a love for dressing up evolved into a career in fashion styling, where she discovered the power of clothing to shape confidence, communicate personality, and tell stories before a single word is spoken.
A graduate of Istituto Marangoni, Mumbai, Chelsi leads the creative vision of Sunra. From conceptualising collections and designing silhouettes to personally styling clients, she is involved in every step of the creative journey.


Her inspiration comes from India’s rich heritage, evolving culture, traditional textiles, contemporary trends, and the endless possibilities of silhouette and craftsmanship. Every design begins with one question: How can this piece make someone feel like the best version of themselves?

One of her favourite parts of the process is sourcing fabrics alongside her mother—a tradition that keeps Sunra connected to its roots while inspiring its future.
